Update 1.0.0.2 Published (AO Update)


Hi everyone, after receiving some awesome feedback on reddit I am working on a major update. The major focus is generation algorithms and performance improvements. So far, I managed to improve the ambient occlusion algorithm to produce results on par with industry standards.

Also, I have changed my blurring method from a 2D box blur which was super slow causing lag to a 2D Gaussian Blur and performance has increased so drastically that there are no more slowdowns, frame rates remain stable no matter how much blurring is used, and the blur method is much more accurate.

Lots of other improvements are in the works regarding the save system, lighting defaults to name a few. Thanks for downloading my app. I might be able to release this new update in a couple days if all goes smooth, thank you all for your patience. 

Update: Hotfix 1.0.0.2 is now live. I redesigned the AO shader algorithm and swapped from using a slow box blur to a more accurate 3 pass Gaussian blur. 

Next updates will focus improving the rest of the application.
